Pen, Paper & Ink P0rn:@KarasKustoms @TactileTurn & Field Notes

I have reviewed the Tactile Turn Shaker in copper - it started out a gleaming, rich, warm copper. Curious how it's changed? The patina develops where I've touched and held the pen - mostly around the midsection. Under the clip is still gleaming and looks brand new.

Looks good next to a Karas Kustoms Bolt as well.

I posted some comments on the KarasKustoms copper on fpgeeks. It probably comes across as overly negative. Your mileage may vary. The pen is nicely made and good looking. But a couple of things make it impractical for me. It is a heavy pen, too heavy to wear in the pocket of a dress shirt (office). Perhaps it would work with a heavier denim shirt. The clip is bent stainless steel and very stiff, not springy at all. So add this to the weight of the pen and again impractical for an office shirt. To use the pen with a Parker gel or ball point cartridge, they include a small back spacer that goes between the top of the cartridge and the top button. But this design disables the Parker design that rotates the cartridge each time you click to ensure even wear of the tip (Jotter design). So in the end, it's a cool but impractical pen. Maybe Version 2 will overcome these shortcomings.
