What are you talking about? That thumbnail is epic. (And thanks for the vid, too.)

Good (if a little unfocussed) review! Wish I'd seen that a year ago before I bought one (mine's metal barrelled and sparkly red). Speaking as a total Broad nib lover who fancied a go at flex-nib stuff I must say I was disappointed.

To ME it is a 'scratchy' nib, and takes quite a bit of flexing effort, at which point it does rail-road (though ink flow in mine is otherwise good). But using it to write with 'normally' gave no noticeable line variation (remember that's My pen in My hand so others may find otherwise).

I tried the Omas Ogiva thing with a 14k extra 'flessible' nib and it's much softer and gives good line variation in normal writing, though it's probably twice as expensive...

Anyway, that's my two-pennorth. Still enjoying the reviews :-)

Hmmm. . . seems like a little too much work to get it to write the way you want. Also, the "feedback" is an issue -- I prefer butter. Thanks for the nibbage report! (Please keep the kitty onscreen!)

That's because we're spoiled by our Pelikan nibs, amirite? Side note - totally unfocused, you're right. I remember when we were shooting it. My brain was all over the place. I couldn't concentrate. Soooorrrieeee.

Yes, those Pelikans are sexy smooth. No apology neccesary, it's always fun to watch :-)
