Frara Road Pen Roll [Video]

Thanks to Frara Road for sending their pen roll for a review. I've used it for quite some time now and I like it a lot. It's beautiful. It's not my absolute favorite go-to roll, but it is an attractive, fairly priced option if you are on the search for a leather roll. I like my rolls a little looser and larger. Check out the video below for more in-action.

Price: $75.00

Simple packaging designed to protect the leather in transit. I prefer simplicity.

I love the color and look of the leather. It has a lot of character and pull to it. I also like the matching stitching.

It will arrive quite stiff and you'll need to bend it around and break it in a little so it can be more easily shaped.

Pens are snug and secure. They will not fall out. Even my slender pens stayed put.

There is just a small tab of leather being held in place so I am a little careful not to pull it too hard. It has not given any signs that it's going to pull out but I just want to be careful.

Lovely, tidy branding.

Review: Penco Clampy Spring Clips @BureauDirect

Thanks to Bureau Direct for sending me this springy clips to try out! It felt a little silly to review some clips but I wanted to share them because I have found them really useful for daily use. Let's go!

Review Penco Clampy Spring Clips @BureauDirect 1

I guess this is sort of a mini review, but the gist of these clips is they're retro-styled, very strong, chrome-plated clips. Their edges aren't too sharp and I have never clamped or pinched myself in them. Although you can use them to hang things from your walls or hold papers together, I have used them mostly for holding notebooks open when I am, for example, trying to copy from one to another (great for students and note taking) and when I want to take pictures of an open notebook. They are robust, tough, and will last a long time. They're not inexpensive but I think they're affordable enough.

They take a little effort to open to their full capacity but they are relatively easy for just a few papers here and there. I did not find them too difficult to open completely.

You can sort of see the level of exertion in my thumb.

The large clamp is too big for a smaller notebook like this.

The small clamp is best!

Great if you're looking for paper clamps, but especially great if you're looking for clamps to hold your notebooks open for pictures!

I received these items free of charge for the purposes of this review. I was not compensated monetarily for my review. Everything you've read here is my own opinion. There are no affiliate links in this review.
