Clairefontaine Scrumptiousness

This picture makes me drool. Credit goes to Clairefontaine's Facebook page...pictures...thing. Am I allowed to post it? Anyway. I'd link to it if I could but it's through Facebook so I don't know if it would work. Is it not beautiful? A closet full of stacks of Clairefontaine journals?! AHHHHH. They have such beautiful, smooth paper. Even someone who doesn't care about stationery would notice how amazing these journals are. It's marvelous fountain pen paper. I only own ONE Clairefontaine journal which I bought in Ottawa at Papier Papier (located in the Byward Market). I love stationery stores...*sigh*. When I finish my current journal, I will get to my Clairefontaine and I'll post some pictures with ink pens!

Associated Addictions: Pencil Cases

Ahhh it has been so long! For no good reason other than a bizarre sleep schedule. Amidst watching copious amounts of Degrassi and Ready or Not. YES! Classics. Pure classics. Anyway, here I am now, with fun new things to blab about. In the effort to try and keep ourselves busy while fasting, we like to go to HomeSense and check out the pet aisles...well...I like to go to HomeSense and check out the pet aisles because there's usually some good deals. Kevin prefers the kitchen junk. Boring. As I am also obsessed with animals (cats in particular), I like to look at pet accessories. Not clothing accessories, but pet-related items. I'm making no sense. Carrying on... this time, there were pencil cases! Haehaheaheh! So exciting! There were 2 different ones and I couldn't decide but because they were cheap-ish I couldn't resist getting both. They are made by Naughty Naughty Pets and both feature a handsome cat named Marty Cohen. There is a blog and a shop where you can get Naughty Naughty Pets stuff. I obviously enjoy strange things and bizarre looking creatures.

Not only are they fabulously weird looking, they hold tons of pens and whatever else you'd want to stick in them. I collected all my blue pens and stuffed them in.

Sidenote: I also own this Envirosax bag, starring Rusty. I have yet to figure out if it's a cat or dog...They have a whole line of "kids" bags that I love because they're weird looking. I haven't found any more in Winnipeg though. Bummer. He's always a big hit when I pull him out of my purse hahahahaha. I always keep some reusable bags in my purse so I can feel like I'm doing my part to be eco-friendly. I hate to see plastic bags flying around when it's windy or when they get stuck in trees. And it makes me happy when stores have biodegradable bags. Or when they donate to a charity if you don't take a bag, like Mountain Equipment Co-op does. OR! When they give you a discount on your purchase if you have your own bag.
I shall be more...punctual?...with my next post. Hopefully this one isn't terribly boring. I assumed the pictures would be enjoyable. My best friend, Stasi, refers to myself and "others like me" as pen pervs. Can't argue with that. Clearly my pen pictures are pen porn. Yes, that's right. I said pen porn. I'd be hesitant to Google "pen porn" if you're in a public place. I imagine there will be some interesting search results. *a few moments have passed* Yes. There are interesting and bizarre results.

I'm rambling again. I have plenty more pencil cases that I will also take naughty pictures of and post. Pencil case porn is what it shall be. M'kay. Enough of me.

Pen Collection Preview

Ah yes, a little bit about my favorite pen site...

Even though I am strongly opposed to Facebook as of late, I had posted a picture of my pen collection on the JetPens page. (You can read about/explore JetPens here and here). Apparently by submitting a picture, I was entered to win a gift certificate if my picture was selected for awesome-factor. Which it was!!!

This month's theme for JetPics is people and their pen collections. You can check out the JetPics page for the pen collections they picked to display! Mine is the second of the five. Sadly, it doesn't look as impressive as it really is. This is actually my "gourmet" pen collection, I didn't include all my markers/Sharpies/highlighters/erasers, etc, as one of the other people did. Rats. Anyway here it is...
Fortunately, I took many, many pictures of this set up (which took three hours or so to perfect) so I will be able to upload and post some more for everyone's viewing and/or drooling pleasure.

The great staff at JetPens also sent out a whole bunch of postcards from Japan to their fans. They're really good at building rapports with their customers!! I'm such a sucker. Naturally, I check their site daily and obsess regularly over the things I'd like to acquire in the future.
If you also have a pen addiction - which I assume you do since you're still reading this - JetPens has a fabulous site that is chock-full of wonderful stationery products that every person should own.

I hope you like the pen collection picture! I'm not sure if others are as fascinated by useless pictures of pens as I am but I can post them anyway.

In other news, my cat, Tyco (a very peculiar Ragdoll) has crazy whiskers. Today, one of them has a little loop-the-loop at the end of it. Although he enjoys attention, he is currently face-planted on the floor so I haven't taken a picture of it.

Update: I took a picture of it. It's not that weird. I just have an unhealthy obsession with my cats. He's a little confused because I just woke him up to put a camera in his face.
