Ink Shot Review: @RobertOsterInk Blue Water Ice @MilligramStore

Did you know Notemaker has changed their name to Milligram Store? Same great stuff, new name! Milligram sent over six Robert Oster inks for me to review and share with you here, so let's start with one of my favorites - Blue Water Ice! I love sheen any day.

PROS

  • Easy to fill from bottle.
  • A fun, bright, beautiful blue.
  • Easy to clean.
  • Fun sheen!
  • A gorgeous, vibrant blue with great shading.
  • Looks so good in a clear pen!
  • The label on top of the cap of the bottle has the name of the ink printed on it, as well as a tiny ink swab so it's easy to spot in your ink drawer/cabinet.
  • Easy to store bottles.
  • Robert Oster is a really nice guy, so I feel happy to support his creations.

    CONS

    • Um... basically nothing. The downside to another blue is it takes a really wet, broad nib to really see the difference between this one and another blue. Great for artists and letterers but if you're looking to justify another blue ink and you only use an extra-fine nib, you probably won't see it.

    OVERALL

Robert Oster has created a lot of stunning blues and while you may think, oh another blue? You cannot overlook the saturation, subtle colors, and sheen that packs into these inks. Blue Water Ice is another winner for me.

I received this item free of charge for the purposes of this review. I was not compensated monetarily for my review. Everything you've read here is my own opinion.
