PROS

• Beautiful shading.
• Bright, vibrant color.
• Cute labels and bottles.
• Easy to clean.
• Legible in fine, dry nibs as well as wet, broader nibs.

CONS

• Mouth of the bottle is a little narrow so sometimes I have issues filling larger pens.
• Sometimes feathery on paper that isn't very fountain pen friendly.
• A little dry.

OVERALL

This is a vibrant green-blue ink! Beautiful color and I don't have many bottles of ink with this color, so it's sort of unique in my ink arsenal. It looks finicky here and it is a bit - feathering and bleeding through on paper that isn't very fountain pen friendly. For the most part, with finer nibs and regular writing, this isn't much of an issue.

Scriptus Toronto Writing Show 2018 Inks - Maple Red & Northern Twilight!

The Scriptus Toronto Writing Show 2018 is celebrating its 5th anniversary with inks from KWZI... and this time, it's a re-release of two favourites! Maple Red⁣⁣⁣ was released for Scriptus' 2nd year and sold out in 40 minutes. Northern Twilight was released for Scriptus' 3rd year and sold out in 45 minutes (with twice the amount of bottles as Maple Red!). Previously, they were show-exclusives but this year, there will be bottles available to the online community so if you must have one of these gorgeous inks, you can head over to bauerinks.ca to learn how you can secure one (or both) for yourself. Make sure to do so before October 28, 2018, so you know what you need to do to make it happen!

• A warm brown with some red tint.
• Cute labels and bottles.
• Well-behaved.
• Easy to clean.
• Good ink flow.
• Legible in fine, dry nibs as well as wet, broader nibs.

CONS

• Mouth of the bottle is a little narrow so sometimes I have issues filling larger pens.

OVERALL

This is one of my favorite brown inks. The warm brown has lovely shading and the name alone is appealing! A well-behaved, decent ink that I enjoy using.

PROS

• Affordable ink.
• 30 ml is a reasonable amount of ink to have per color - enough to really get a feel for the ink and then decide if you really like it, but not so much that it will last you forever!
• Bottle shape makes it easy to fill your pen from.
• Shades beautifully. It's rather exquisite.
• Perfect name!
• Well-behaved.
• Easy to clean. 
• Gorgeous color for artwork.

CONS

• No water resistance.
• Each 30 ml bottle comes in a small plastic box that seems entirely unnecessary. It's not sturdy enough to prevent the glass from breaking. 

OVERALL

Emerald Green is quite stunning. It's a vibrant, rich green with some lovely sheen. Well-behaved and affordable! I found that my bottle ended up developing slime quite early on in its life, so I wasn't too thrilled about that. However, I do know this can happen sometimes. The ink itself is a beauty.

Thank you to Knights Writing Co. for sending me this bottle of ink for a review! It looked beautiful in swabs so I was most curious about it. I love Caribbean things.

OVERALL

I really enjoy this color. I cannot say it's my absolute favorite turquoise blue ink out there, but at this price and for the convenience of the bottle, I can't complain. I enjoy exploring new inks but I'm not crazy about ink samples, so this is just right. A beautiful shading turquoise that is aptly named!
