PROS
  • Shows nice shading in wet calligraphy nibs.
  • Affordable - not the most inexpensive ink but not the worst either.
  • Easy to clean.

CONS
  • Not water resistant.
  • Bottle is hard to fill fountain pens from when it gets around half empty, especially if you have larger fountain pens.
  • Narrow bottle opening.
OVERALL
I generally like Bookbinder inks - especially the Eastern Brown, Everglades Ratsnake, and Emerald Boa. This red, although named after a snake, just doesn't do anything for me. It's too washed out to be a true, solid red, which I prefer.

I received this item/these items free of charge for the purposes of this review. I was not compensated monetarily for my review. Everything you've read here is my own opinion.
