I have a 149 B nib and i bought it full retail, i also have a M1005
demonstrator B nib, my expirence was the opposite as yours i had
problems with skips with the M1005 but minor. For longer writting i
agree the 146 is the better choice, i like the section of older the
models more, like it is on the johannes brahms for instance, my daily
writter at the moment. Yes, for me it is serious nibbage!
