Mailbox Goodies - Hiatus Haul

Last week, Eric (of FPGeeks) challenged me to not purchase anything pen and/or pen-related until the end of April. I also challenged him to the same, so we're both on a buying hiatus. As such, I haven't purchased anything since April 14th. I guess that's not really that impressive, is it? We just wanted to know we could stop the madness if we had to. ... I was rather surprised to find my mailbox still acquired things.

I adore you people. Thank you for putting a great big smile on my face. I hope I make you guys smile and maybe even laugh sometimes.

From Bill - a beautifully packaged parcel, chock full of an array of fascinating goodies.
Amazing Parcel from Reader!!!
Inside the kraft paper bundle is...
Life Super Fine Quality Writing Pads
SOME AWESOME PAPER.
This super cool pad actually arrived a few weeks ago from Steve but I had kept it with his letter until I got to his letter in my reply-to pile (which only recently happened). This is a very special and unique notepad! I'm a lucky gal.
Fountain Pen Notepad
A scrumptious handful of Lamys from the wonderful, beyond generous Peggy. Thank you, Peggy. This makes my Safari collection look way better now.
Lamy Safaris & Vista & Al-Star
From my sweet pen pal, Yvonne, this amazing card along with her letter! I have a thing for colorful birds, along with cats, believe it or not.

How would someone go about providing you with mail goodies? I'm also on a purchasing hiatus, but that doesn't mean that I don't still send anything!

*blush* If someone wanted to mailbox goody me (is that a verb?), they could just send me an email at gourmet.pens@gmail.com so I could give them my mailing address :) (which is all over the internet anyway but I figure I could pretend at some privacy lol)

I don't know how long my purchasing hiatus will last. I was convinced I could last until May but now I'm not so sure...

Yvonne's handwriting is really cute! (And I am totally jealous of you for the Lamys...I was contemplating on the pink one around 2 months ago and of course it was gone before I made up my mind). Well, at least it saves me from 30 bucks (plus shipping) then two weeks of anxious waiting.

Isn't her handwriting gorgeous?? She's so great with dip pens! I occasionally see the pink Lamys lurking around :) $30 and 2 weeks of waiting isn't too bad for a pink pen hehe

LOL my challenge is more challenging than I thought it would be.. not because I can't NOT buy things but because all sorts of sales are popping up and I'm like :| THIS IS A GOOD DEAL! Sigh.

I love my pen pals. They're amazing people. Totally uplifting. :) Like someone else I know, with their amazing art.... :)

Your mailbox is a lot happier than mine! Look at all those Lamys - I love it! That paper looks great, too. I actually found a box of Hallmark stationery - actual writing paper - in a Kroger store in Georgetown,Colorado last weekend! I was amazed.

Hallmark has actual writing paper?! That's epic! I usually only find journals and albums. I'd love to see more writing paper sold there though. Sometimes a gal needs instant gratification!

Awesome haul! Your pen pal Yvonne has beautiful handwriting :) Or is it penmanship? Anyway, it's beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
